Laurence, Farne island is looking increasingly unlikely so I will have to say no for this year.

Re the house got it for 395 which I am pleased with, put in the first offer at 9 and after a bit of bartering got confirmation at 4 so quite a nail biting day. One of the conditions is we complete in 6 weeks when we will be on holiday so it will be fun!! Thanks for the advise and support.

Today was also kris's last day as a student so joined her for a few drinks but have to be back at work for 6:( Trooping of the colour so fingers crossed it will not be a long one

Glad you got the house at a price to suit you :D But crumbs completion when you are away.....hope your bank & legal eagle are up to speed ??? Wish Kris all the best for her full time 24/7 working hours, afterall she is now obligated to keep you in the style to which you wish to become accustomed

That was a great meal ~ you must have a good set of pans :p

Ooops! missed the bit about jobs ;)

Well no pictures but I bet you an have aweful number of items in your home with my products on..........I supply the print related trades with "Hot Stamping Foils" (think books ~ both paperbacks and hardcase/dust jackets), any food product you have with a date/batch code and anything with a printed label barcode (the thermal ribbons & the labels) even your recycling & wheelie bins are foil stamp printed ~ not many companies do what we do or have been around so long (was started in 1923).

So look on the bookshelf or the larder & fridge and you can see the result of what I sell :D

PS Looks like many of you have way more interesting jobs than me.........apart from Lee of course ;)

I shall be looking for sure now :D

RE jobs as most of you know I am one of the Mets finest, working at Greenwich in the intelligence unit ( this sound more interesting than it actually is )

I get a day release from the office to do the odd public order duty the best being G8 summit at Gleneagles a few years ago. Sun described us as crack riot troops and Sky military expert as special forces......what a load of b***

Morning all. What are we up to.

Im a bit late with the Happy Birthday, but better late than never.

Some interesting jobs you guys have.

Up until 2006 i was in maintenance of Nuclear Reactors, fueling machines and 12 Megawatt steam turbine generators.

Now im a team leader for the same thing, but i like to keep my hand in. You never know when someone might ask you to take a look at their Magnox Reactor because the pilot lights gone out. :)

Unfortunately i can post any pics, because i have some cool ones.

Had a 7 day shop email promoting this http://www.7dayshop.com …ucts_id=111653&r=20110603 (external link) looks like such continuous lights are now "normal" monies as if I recall when these first came out were highly expensive!

Evening all, off to Howeletts tomorrow for a few hours, getting there for opening time...hopefully there'll be plenty of animals awake by then!

On the job front, I am in charge of security at this place:

QUOTED IMAGE

No photos from inside though because that's illegal...

"WOW".........is there much call for security at LEGO H.Q. ?

No i do exactly the same when out and about, always looking at the floor (have picked up some cash whilst doing it though :))

Definitely I keep reminding her of this and she will be too busy to go shopping herself

:D:D I could imagine you as a traffic officer, being a Volvo driver gets you off to a good start ;)

One of those would go down well with my canon mug, they think I am a bit of a geek at work already

I will have to look at those when I get home.

One big thing I forgot to mention about the new house is the loft has all the joists and a couple skylights to convert it but no more has been done, missus is not interested in using it so would make a nice studio:D:D
