hmmm the RRs hard stops are still swaying me slightly...... but then when am I going to have set marked focus points

You are thinking about them the wrong way Neal. Canon lens rings continue to rotate even when they are at the end if the focus range - this means you can't really ever note a focus mark in case the lens ring has over rotated. By setting hard stops you can make it so the focus ring only moves between min & max focus, no further.

This means any focus marks you have stay relevant. So you could mark ,say, focus points for the near and far sides of a rollerderby ring for example - to be able to quickly and accurately switch focus between them. Especially good if you don't have a loupe or monitor to track focus with eery time.

Yup - that link is ok when you're not using an iPhone :-( ... Just need to figure out how to get it on the iPhone as going into a browser automatically switches to the mobile site, and the iPhone app doesn't appear to have the sharing options! Bring on the arrival of my iPad - I'll be able to do so much more from work!!! Haha.

On m.Flickr.com there is a Flickr.com link at the bottom of the screen that switches to the full site, which is what I use on the iPhone.

Tried it with my iPhone this morning. Very scary!

Did you plot that data on a map?

If so, How?

I kinda like the idea although it would be nice to be able to choose to submit the data :/

I would say it is almost impossible to be private living in London now.

Even the "Guardian" was found in camden last week :) (anyone else watch Nikkta)

Shop, Shop, Shop.

Just follow Rob, as far as I can tell he has done all the research and come to sound conclusions (so far ;) )

Although I am surprised you have not gone the lego route.

I do not even own lego and I am tempted.

Rob do you have a link to where you got the heavy stick with a handle from?

Or, as I said, use the Flickr.com link at the bottom of the page. Cost £0.

Just experienced a very eventful dog walk with 3 of my working cocker spaniels, we were walking through a cow field, the dogs are of hunting. One of them comes back with a rusty old bit of barbed wire (about 1m long) tangled in his ear. I didn't have a pocket knife or anything on me so I couldn't cut it loose and it was to tangled to undo. I ended up walking the next hour using it as a lead. Thank god it wasn't through his actual ear.

Oh dear. Thats not good. Always a good idea to carry something. I always carry my faithful Swiss army knife on long walks. Just incase i get stuck, and have to hack a Limb off.

Hope hes ok. My Working Cocker gets into all sorts of places. Thakfully he always gets out too. :)

Nice shot - given the speed and wind resistance you did well to keep the car pin sharp. I've been meaning to try this at night to get light trails so thanks for the reminder :)
Edit: just looked at your flickr and realised its a photoshop composite. Fooled again! D'oh!
