I had to post a few puffin pics from Svalbard - I know Farne will provide EVEN BETTER opportunities - but here's a taster of what to expect from the puffins!! Can't wait ...

Wow they are beautiful great images!

@ Clare ~ ooooh! nice Svalbard puffin cousins, they do seem to walk on water trtying to take off

This guy over at TP was there on Staple Island a few days ago in the rain and took some nice ones under less than clement conditions here http://www.talkphotography.co.uk …php?p=3785938#post3785938 (external link)

The weather forecast continues to suggest Friday as best day :D with Saturday as wet and Sunday good..............well that will be AOK for the drive back :(

That was a great meal ~ you must have a good set of pans :p

Yup, you need to setup some 'approach' perches near the feeders as they like to work their way towards the them and somewhere toget away quick and hide if startled.

Did you see on Springwatch how that guy had managed to get green woodpeckers to climb a tree post to get more natural shots. He'd taken 5 years to get them off the ground by tempting them with live mealworms. Not sure I'd have the patience for that - but the idea is a good one!!

I've got 3 different types of branch now taped to the top of my feeder.

I need a really tight metal mesh feeder(tighter than a peanut feeder) for my seeds as the squirrels and pigeons knock them out of the plastic ones with holes at the bottom.

Baby Starling on my Mk2 bird feeder perch. The Mk1 was a tree that had died a few years ago, the birdies loved it but the wind and root got the better of it, so the Mk2 a 3" x 8' fence post and some metal garden canes the birdies were grumpy for a day or two but the rumbley tunnies got the better of them :p

I need to find somewhere I can buy a new cap for my Teleconverter, the end which is like the one that goes onto your camera but its a lot wider for the TC's as I seem to have lost one, any ideas?

Will do! :)

Where down the Coast you thinking of going?? Still light here.

Loving the Birdie shots. I would take some of my own, but somebody has stolen my bird feeders from my bird table. I really cant believe it.

My own laziness overcame the need to take pictures. Am I terrible or what? :(
