On another note. Does anyone use a hood on their Nifty?? If so which one. I dont think it has a bayonet fitting, so screw in i suppose it is.

I use the official Canon one, bought from Amazon marketplace: http://www.amazon.co.u​k …0000C4GCZ/ref=o​ss_product The seller "Avides" had it cheaper when I bought mine.

EDIT: It has a screw in metal ring which the hood clips onto via some funky clip mechanism. I've seen third party ones that screw straight in.

Thats alot of money for what you get. Ill hae a look for a 3rd party one.

Not that far. I have just ordered a 3rd party one with the adaptor ring for £3.

Bargain! Yea, when I got mine the Amazon marketplace one was a lot cheaper than it is now. £18 for a bit of plastic is a bit excessive.

Never used one on mine and never had any flare even this wekend when shooting toward the sun with it.
