I took the camera out with me when I took the dog out this evening and I got these the first one is Georgina Baker who modeled for the Folkestone mermaid with Andrea Schlieker curator of the Folkestone Triennial being interviewed for BBC Southeast Today followed by two shots of the mermaid herself.

Suffice to say mine and I surmise Dr D & Fionas will be somewhat delayed......?

For the record and to make you jealous ~ it is fabulous here :D

Lovely Puffin Clare @ Hope you guys get another great day up there today.

I'm off to Milton Keynes for the wedding of a friend of Cindy. We've been press ganged into doing the photo's but as it is a very modest registry office do, I'm not too worried about my complete lack of experience and questionable photographic skills ;) Sunday I'm off to Romania for work so no rest for the wicked this weekend :)

Nice puffin Clare looking forward to seeing more from you all, really wish I was with you chaps, but no stuck at work again, and my plans of nipping out for a couple of hours and finding some dragons looks unlikely with this great summer weather were having at the moment, anyway I can hear a bacon sandwich calling my name....

Good luck with the wedding - the key thing is for you guys to try and enjoy taking the photos - that way people relax around you and the shots look good :) ... And if nothing else, it's some camera time!!

Sorry to hear you can't get out for some photo time ... I am gonna try out your lens a bit today ... Pretty excited. Some of the kit up here can only be called ridiculous. Dennis got a great shot of one of the most miserable blokes ever who had some of the largest lenses I had ever seen. I am surprised he could walk carrying all the kit he had ... And most of it was stuck up with tape. Stupid thing is that the puffins are about 2 feet away from you at times so it seems a little unnecessary!! Hey ho!! Hope you have a good day anyhow Mark!

I thought you would all be out there already ;), as for the 300 I find if the light is good turn off the IS for the BIF (or PIF!) it will focus much quicker, not that its slow but it does help a tad, I have always found that its really sharp on my 5D2 its that lens I normally use for my dragonfly, lizard and deer shots, have a good day, and bring me back a razorbill please :D
