wow you raised Baby from a kitten, that is some task. I'm impressed Baby's natural instincts didn't kick in though!

Tell me about it - they are worse than kids! He was the sickest one of three abandoned by the mother at about 3 days old. I used to have to carry him around in my shirt pocket to keep him warm and at nights sleep on the couch with him in a box under an infra red lamp - feeding him every 2 hours. Sadly, the other 2 did not make it but, as you can see, Baby did :)

Quick question - does anyone have words for a simple model release form? until now I've never asked people to sign one, but I think I ought to, just in case I wanted to use one of the images for something else. whether that be a child, or an animal.
I've looked on the business sectino but it's all US which is fairly different I believe.
Ta ;)

I have model release I could pass on. Send me an email at cindyloudale (at) gmail.com.

As for JD's image ~ does anyone remember, I think it was, Britich Gas adverts of the 1970's where they had just that scenario of the cat kissing the mouse, the cat being kissed by a Bulldog first :)

That was for a "Real" fire, none of you artificial gas-fired imposters.

Lovely advert, and lovely picture from JD.

No, not today. I tend to go out once a week, either Monday or Friday.

Carrying on sanding down the potting bench I'm making (giving the neighbours a lie in without the noise of my sander). I finished the wood, assembled the bench then had to apply a bit of woodfiller. Yuck.

I usually apply varnish at the end but this time I finished the pieces before assembly .. Back to the old way next time.

Anyway I've got a spot of shopping to do in Dartford this afternoon.

Hi folks, took this photo at Hope Street Hotel, Liverpool. Is it skew or do I need glasses? C&C appreciated.

Nice photo, Cindy.

But yes, it's skew. The corner of the pillar behind her head should be vertical. You'll expect a bit of distortion with wide angle, but the centre should always be vertical. Well, as far as I know.

Oh, and if this was a staged shot, I'd have removed the vase of flowers - it makes the table look a bit too busy and prevents us from clearly seeing what the subject's doing.

Thanks Dom. I am totally unable to keep my head straight, ever! Even now, looking at the photo I cock my head to the right and it looks perfectly straight. Then I cock my head to the left and its skew. Its a disability!

Don't worry about it Cindy and try not to spend effort in getting the composition dead straight in the viewfinder.

What I used to do was allow a bit extra on each side and straighten properly in post processing. You'll lose a small bit around the edges, but you'd never notice.

I have trouble getting stuff straight even when I use the grid on the straightening tool in LR I work on the if it looks straight enough it is.
