Afternoon gang,

Im finally back online! That's almost taken three weeks (I know Rob) and an engineer working for three hours this morning!? Now the long battle for appropriate compensation, the opening gambit was £20 - needless to say I laughed at the guy on the phone...

Excellent Lee - what speeds are you getting? http://speedtest.net (external link)

I fancied a change from my usual shots today. So I had a bit of fun with 2 shots and Photoshop Elements (the trial version I just downloaded. That's how much I've used Photoshop products since I got Lightroom :) ).

Shhhh...

That is amazing! 6m 49secs and you can see us :) :)

I remember the guy. What a cool video.

Glad you had a good time Dan. It was a different kind of race. There is going to be another race in Redhill in October. Spectators were free at the event in Cambridge.

Looks like you guys had a great time - excellent shots from you both :)

Oh and morning all. Back to the usual grind in Brussels for me - seems like forever since I last saw my desk!

Anyone got fun planned?

morning gang!

that's a helluva shot! love it...

I found this cool app this morning for iPad called "rays" it's a bit of a first draft but what a clever piece of software, makes an average image look pretty good (I thought anyway!)

I have now got eight times the speed I previously enjoyed (not quick enough for you to move in however!) :) and I'm £250 better off after tense negotiations!

Lee, do you have a before shot to show what the program does?

Oh, and morning all. Back from New York/New Jersey and watered my eyes at B&H. Didn't buy anything though as after exchange rate conversion, prices were 50% more than the UK!

I get 6.5Mb/s which is good for my area - a place where people still point at aeroplanes :)

Nice work on the compensation - that must be almost free broadband for the year!

Good stuff Lee, have you any more of the hover fly pic to the right? if so I would crop out most of the left side (buddleia?) and leave more of that lovely orange bokeh, (or go portrait) and I never tire of common lizard pic's, nice dof..
Not taken a single photo for over a week now, must try and get away from work soon...

thanks Mark - quite possibly there's some real estate there - I did have a slight crop, I'll check, the 'orrible creosote fence has it's uses after all!

And as for Lizards I absolutely love them too, we were lucky enough to find one posing on a fallen tree for about half an hour, was a great experience... also saw a newly emerged Dragonfly there too - my first sighting of that so quite excited!
