Yeah, me too!! :D I'm sure I can make the space on my desk...not sure quite how I would use a dual setup though but it would be cool!! :D

I have a dual set up when editing I have one with the main LR window on for editing and the second shows the whole image so I can see how adustments affect the full size image.

=Matt 'Photog' Peters;12348524]Evening/night.. Been out for a wonder with Lawrence this evening to have a nose at the gathering of fire engines and do some lught trails over the m3! The extent of the fire damaged forest is crazy, they recon they'll be tackling it way into the weekend at this rate, will get some snaps up in the morning!

Matt, where is the best place to park in the area, can you see damage by the coral reef entrance or do you need to carry on the dual carrigeway a bit?

Still popping up to novatech?

BOTC Rules Update:

There are no restrictions on type of camera used any more so SLR/DSLR/P&S/Bridge cameras are all acceptable formats, as are all other cameras such as pinhole, lomo, mobile phone etc.

Obviously the shots still need to be of decent quality for the comp ;)

Hmm, the competition just got harder as we have to compete with Johnny Average being in the right place at the right time with a P&S. ;)

Morning all!!

Have a real quick iPad question for those more technically minded than me!! I want to get the cable that will let me plug the iPad into my tv so I could potentially play movies I have on there or set up slide shows of photos etc. I have an HDTV so is it just the digital av adapter I need? The VGA allows me to plug into a monitor or projector - but that doesn't do sound does it ... And altho the component AV does video and sound, it would only go into a tv - not a monitor or projector. I guess I am answering my own question ... If I only want the cable for my HDTV then it's the digital av ... If I want it for a monitor or projector it's the VGA ... And if I want it for an old style tv it's the component...

Right? *blush*

For iPad to HDTV, if the telly has got an HDMI socket, I reckon the Apple Digital AV Adapter (external link) is the one you'll need.

You would also need an HDMI cable to go with it.

Hi all, some great shots being shared, all the little cuddly- wuddly aminals and that lovely Kate Middleclass's wedding :)

On the down side, my monitor has given up the ghost and currently i have my face about 18" away from a 32" wide screen T.V thats on stand in

Can anyone recommend a good quality replacement monitor, dont want to spend more than £300 if poss ?

As with many others, I use the Dell 2209WA. There is a place on eBay that does returns that you cannot tell from new. I have one and it's a cracking monitor and their service is great. £165 delivered iirc.

[rant]

A couple of times over the last few weeks I have driven past Wingham Wildlife Park and seen a chap lying prone in full camo gear with a rifle (I'm guessing air rifle) shooting the wild rabbits that I always enjoy seeing on my drive home.

They live at the top end of a triangle of grass that is next to the car park and they've been there for years, including a black rabbit that's always with them. I've not seen them or the black one in the last few days...I was kind of annoyed that a "Wildlife" park would condone the shooting of local "wildlife"...

I always think to myself that I ought to go and try and get some pics of them...not going to happen now! :(

Never seen that guy on the way home though wonder if its to do with culling due to disease or something. I'd think he'd use a .22 instead of an air rifle as an air rifle is pretty much good for sparrows or a pigeon at a push - a .22 is pretty dangerous to shoot around a wild life park though, what with tourists and expensive wild animals around. Seems very strange
