Congrats, you will find it a very good screen but for the record "out of the box" it is eye searingly bright and very much benefits from calibration to get the luminance down to in my case just under 100cd ~ important if you wnat what you see on the screen to print as close a match as possible.....sorry if I am teaching you how to suck eggs

Not at all, i have never calibrated a monitor so all advice welcome. loks like theres a bit of rain coming up due to a "Spanish Plume" so should help with that wildfire.

Since my only cameras are now the G9 and mobile phone, I somehow think that I won't be taking photos seriously enough to warrent them being in perfect colour.

I have a Misubishi CP9550 event printer.....
