As promised here is my home made pin hole lens made out of one body cap, a bit of drinks can center punched then the dimple filed down to give an even hole then taped to the inside of the cap.

I've done a few test shots with the pin hole and it looks like I've made the hole a tad to big as everything is very out of focus. But I knew there would be a bit of trial and error involved.

Maybe use a needle rather than a pin?

The optimum size for the hole is 0.3mm which is not an easy hole to measure without the right kit so I'll just keep making the holes smaller and smaller till I get it right. Adding tube just increases the focal length using a body cap on it's own on my 450d is the equivalent of about 45mm.

I am in London on Thursday night, got a to attend some meeting from 17:00 - 20:00 - Not sure of location but I assume it will be near Victoria. Anyone planning to be out and about?

If you are and want to meet up for a few pics and a pint let me know!

Cheers,
Matt

Wanted to try my first HDR and took some pictures of a windmill near to me a few weeks ago, finally got around to messing with PM tonight.

There is a slight halo around the blades, have tried different settings but can't seem to get rid of them. Is this a process screw up by me (am I over cooking it) or was it a problem at the time of shooting?

I used a tripod so should not be movement when capturing. Any comments/help are welcome.

Wow, got an early start so better get some zzzzz :)

Looks good to me, I have had a play with hdr but they never look very good:(

morning guys.
any other options for selling photo gear privately apart from potn, TP, ebay?
got any pics?

Gumtree but the prices tend to be quite low there, other options are shops but you are better selling them on TP,POTN or ebay as the prices are better there
