In the April Spring Break we decided to visit Arran. Known as Scotland in miniature, its a large Island 19 miles long by 10 miles wide and only 15 miles from the mainland.
The pretty villages on Arran's beautiful coastline are complemented by a rugged and mountainous interior in the north and green rolling hills and woodland in the south.
We had two superb days of weather on the Island and the tranquil surroundings made for a relaxing break. The beauty of this place even inspired my teenage girls to take an interest in photography and parts of this film features their work.
