Just got this from Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com …a_2?qid=1302995540&sr=8-2 (external link)

So far it works great with my 60D..main unit uses a rechargeable li-ion that uses USB current (AC adapter and cable included) and it comes with a lanyard strap so you can hook it to some part of your tripod. The remote uses one of those small higher voltage specialty alkaline batteries which is somewhat annoying as they are harder to find and expensive but it is pretty compact and has great range even with the antenna retracted.

Overall the unit is very solid and looks great. If you are looking for a good RF remote I would seriously consider this one. I ordered it Wednesday evening and it showed up today from San Diego (I live in the Midwest) with just standard shipping, very impressed with the seller.

It looks very solid and the AC rechargeable feature sounds handy, but it looks HUGE! Does the receiver really need to be 4.4 " long?

Here is what one reviewer said:

3.0 out of 5 stars Make sure you are happy with the size
make sure that you are happy with size of receiver. It is bigger than my wife's mobile phone. If the size was small as the transmitter, it would be rated more than 5 stars.

There are lots of Infrared and Radio Wireless remotes that are cheaper, and smaller:

If I wanted IR, I would have purchased IR. I don't want to have to point a remote at the front of the camera when shooting a full family portrait or relying on line of site. There are some that are smaller but IMO their build quality looks cheap (DIP switches exposed on the units, etc). The one you have looks fine too. Overall that unit has a nearly 5 star rating, but if you want to go and look for a negative one go ahead.
