Muir Woods, Mill Valley CA

I've always wanted to go to Muir Woods. I had heard it was beautiful.
Yesterday, I finally had the chance to see for myself.

If you visit the Bay Area in the summer, that's what you will usually find being that close to the Golden Gate.
I guess I just hit the timing right. Not too late in the season, so no fog. Not too early in the season, so it wasn't raining and it wasn't cold.

Muir Woods would be interesting to take photos at. We almost drove up that way coming back from my son's graduation for Marine Corps training. But took I-5 to keep the drive shorter.

The only park I've been to with substantial fence rails was Richardson Grove, but it was very rainy that day.
