Hi, I was wondering whether to post in landscapes or experimental. I decided to opt for experimental. These were taken at Llandudno beach in North Wales. I had taken many photos earlier, but these got ruined as I forgot that I had the ISO set to 1600 from my night time photos.

I was trying to capture the movement of the tide moving in from the sea.

Comment and criticism will be appreciated. I was having problems with trying to make sure my shadow was not getting in the way.

Thanks for looking.

The biggest piece of advice is to buy a nd filter, it you are going to shoot mid day like this, get 8 or 9 stop filter. That way you can get a much lower ss. I use the lee big stoper and it works great. Be careful some give a stong color cast. Just my two cents.

Thank you for the advice. I do have a circular polarising filter, would that be suitable?

I have been looking at the Neutral Density thread in the nature section of the forum. I can see where you are coming from now.

A cp filter is only going to reduce your ss by 1-2 stops depending on the filter, so it won't be enough during the day.
