Yeah, I'm still using the older CTR-301P wireless transmitters and they're great for what I do. Very happy with them.

I'm pretty confident they fixed whatever manufacturing problem that was causing their early models to have a loose connection in the zoom.

It would start up, allow me to change modes, increase/decrease power, etc but wouldn't fire. Came across this site:

Much better then anything else in their price range. I have their ST-E2, and it does a very nice job controlling my metz's flashes. Traveling is my passion, so I am a major Frequent Flyer.

It will still give you the right lights, things will light up, and look like it should be working, but you won't get a flash. When in doubt with YN stuff, replace batteries. yeah I experience the same thing. 6D Rokinon 14 f/2.8 l EF 35 ƒ1.4L l EF 135 ƒ2.0L l EF 70-200 ƒ2.8L IS II l YN460 l 580EX II l Flick'd

Aressem Goldmember More info | Apr 19, 2011 15:36 | #27 I bought a YN-560 about 6 weeks ago and fell in love with it, until this happened...
GOOD NEWS is that I sent this image and a description of what happened (wind picked up and blew my light stand & umbrella over) and I got this response... "Dear Sir, Thank you for your E-mail! You can purchase this part made of metal now from us, the price is 16 USD." Im currently waiting for the part to arrive. They gave me a tracking # and had it shipped within days. So far, Im impressed with the customer service! I will be sure to post photos during and after the repair ![]() Ryan Mackay WEBSITE

Both mine have metal feet and have been flawless. My junk
