I am trying to find any sort of comfy bag, and so far I have been unable to find anything that fits my needs (unless its $200 and huuuuge).

Things I need to carry at once:

- 40d with Grip and usually a small lens attached (50mm or 18-55).
- 2 More lenses (55-250, and 50mm or 18-55)
- 430EX Flash (with out of camera sync cable)
- Miscellanea (Off camera flash chord, spare batts, charger, the usual)

So far so good, right? Now...

- Asus Netbook
- Netbook charger
- Miscellanea for Netbook (slim external disc reader, USB cable, etc).

Who else out there with similar needs? And to those, what have you bought so far? My next step is to order the right model online, hence my need for advice and suggestions first. Don't feel like trying 10 bags to find the right one (and make UPS/Fedex rich doing it). :)

Thanks !!

Any particular type of bag? Backpack, sling bags, shoulder bag?

What kind of bag are you looking for? Shoulder, backpack, roller, sling, ...? :)

The grip is going to be a problem with smaller bags with laptop + accessories capability.

Good point. Sling has proven to be the most convenient so far, then I'd say backpack second, and then anything that will help me carry my gear safely. Right now I have the camera and lenses in one big compartment, pretty snug, but no dividers or such. Wanna get away from that. :) Saw a bumblebee from Kata, and a "Crumpler" sling bag, but I fear they might be on the expensive end of the spectrum. Not looking for a $50 bag, but I would like to avoid the Lexus-priced bag. ;)

check out the kata dr 466i backpack. its fairly cheap and should meet your requirements. the reason why i opted for a backpack was because, with the weight of my kit plus my laptop, my shoulders get sore. but thats just me. :)

To OP, here is what I don't understand. If you are to carry cameras equipments + labtop + its accessories, why would you want a sling for convinient? Trust me, a sling is not a good idea for large amount of eqiupment

As been stated the amount of gear your planning to haul seems to be a bit much for a shoulder/sling bag. Of course if your not planning to haul it more then to/from the car it's a non issue but if your planning hauling it over a day i think your shoulder will be quite sore.

There is a shoulder bag from Lowepro StealthReporter 650AW that will fit your gear. I personally think that size is to big for a shoulder bag.

The best would be to go to a store with your gear and try out some bags.

There are plenty of backpacks that will take the gear you want, it's a matter of preference, fit, and of course what your willing to pay.

Paul L.

Very true. Paul, I have beeen browsing the bag pics, and your contributions. Holy Moly!! Definitely some of the best I ever seen. I agree with you, I might have to invest on a drive to the big city, and try my stuff at the store. Right now all I have access to (within 50 miles) is BestBuy, and a couple of Wolf Stores. I know the internet is available (calumet, BH, Adorama) but like you said, trying them on is best, as what may seem like the perfect shoulder bag, may end up way too heavy for that amount of gear.

Right now thinking Backpack... Thanks for all the good comments so far...

have you looked into the crumpler 7 mil bag? it doesn't have a laptop compartment but i can fit my ipad in the front pocket. its snug. i think the 8 mil bag allows for a laptop. i have a 40D gripped and can fit all my lenses in the bag if i needed to. it can get heavy though.
