Do you think this is good quality for a 60d with a 55-250? the image is cropped.

Immaculens creeped by the TF.... More info | I am not certain at what aperture the 55-250mm IS shines but I imagine f/8 or f/9 is its highest sharpness.

(this review gives an edge to f/8 vs f/11 - see lower on pg for 250mm http://www.photozone.de …n_55250_456is_50d?start=1 At 250mm I think it wise to have your shutter speed at least at 1/250th sec, the IS is helping here. Would need to see a tighter crop of your image to see how f/10 and those other settings worked for you, although there may well have been some camera shake unless you used a tripod. Do you think a tripod is required with 1/100 sec? My Gallery:

Otherwise, camera shake is more pronounced, affecting sharpness of your shot. IS is an aid for handholdability, not a solution.

I really like this shot, not only for its quality but for the memories it brings. We had a Miniature Schnauzer who allowed us to live with him for over 15 years before he passed on. What a great dog he was. He only had one speed, fast forward. He didn't slow down until about 6-8 weeks before he died. Thanks for making my day.

Suicidn and Macro: I'm also sorry for the things I said. They were said in haste and in poor judgement. I will say, one thing, though. I thought it was very rude to say I was 'whore-posting'. That is what set me off. I know, for a fact, that I can't leave this community behind. There is way too much to learn, and great people to learn from. I know my pictures suck. That's why I'm here. So, hate me. Or don't. Whatever. Welcome back Stro- I appreciate your contributions and zeal! My fLiCkr
