I have no problem with the price as long as the bag is what i need (within limits of course) , but the look isn't my cup of tea, look like an old mans bag to me.. :-)

I'm curious to know your thoughts on the Union Street as a camera-only bag, since the laptop divider is removable. I don't think that I'd reasonably want to carry around three lenses and flash with my computer to work everyday, but I certainly might want to carry three lenses and a flash on a trip or to an event when I don't need my computer. Or it might be nice to stick some GND's, a filter wallet, or a folded-up softbox in the laptop compartment.

If you get a chance, perhaps you could advise how the bag works and feels without the laptop divider in place. Depending upon the lenses that you have, it seems like it might be unnecessarily tall without a laptop requiring that height. Do the camera equipment dividers easily span the width of the bag without the laptop compartment?

If it works well both with and without the laptop, it seems like it would be a really nice dual purpose bag, which might ease the cost a little. At least in one's mind. :-)

Thanks very much for your opinions! I've read the reviews online but it would be nice to hear from someone that actually owns one and uses it.

I took a quick look ... the laptop divider is just that, a divider. It isn't a full pocket that can be removed, it is just a full-width divider with velcro tabs at each end which can be positioned as necessary to the bag end panels.

The bag comes with 2 tall and 2 short dividers which are 4.5" wide. If the laptop divider is removed, they will velcro-attach to the rear padded wall of the bag. Of course, they aren't going to get any larger, so the bag will still be constrained to 4.5" front-to-back by the camera dividers with or without the laptop divider.:)

There is a zippered front pocket which has a couple of smaller pockets on the back wall which can hold chargers, batteries, memory wallet, cables, etc. The zipper is just across the top, it doesn't go down the sides which would allow the front to fold down for easier access (or to accidentally dump out the contents unexpectedly).

There is also a tight rear pocket with a magnetic closure for a notebook, magazine, tickets, etc.

The bag edges are lined with leather, and the total bottom of the bag is leather. The bag surface is waxed canvas, but at first glance it looks like leather too, but isn't as heavy. The tan one will lightly scratch easily, giving it that "distressed" look and should really look cool after some useage develops a wear pattern on the surface. I like that and think it really enhances the looks ... makes it look older and well used. The 10" height is perfect for me, not too tall, gives the bag a proportioned look, and will hold my 5D-II mounted to a 70-200 f/4 lens in the bag.

Hope this helps...:D

Doesn't look like it's worth it to me. But it's isn't my money.

I finally had some free time so I've posted up some pictures along with comments about the Union Street here:

Pictures aren't the best but they're good enough to get the points across.

My reason for picking this bag was that I needed to tote a camera, 1 lens, flash + laptop to conferences, but I was tired of looking like a student by lugging my Lowepro Fastpack 250.

I think that the Union Street is styled in a way that it doesn't shout "camera bag" so it'll generally fly under the radar as far as that front is concerned.

Thanks for the review. It seems like if you wanted your 70-200 mounted on the body, it would have to be fitted sideways?

Does anyone have pictures of them wearing it? Also please state your height. I want to see if it looks bulky when wearing. Thanks
