(First, a note from the gear head in me: I'm really loving having a 28mm f/1.8 on FF for street again. I've been very fortunate to have tried the 35L and 24LII as my wides, but for my needs and purposes the 28mm f/1.8 is nearly perfect. This lens is small - even with the hood - and the AF is rock solid in all conditions.)

These are the people of the city I love. For all of you street shooters out there, I'm old school in that I take the time to interact with my subjects and shoot with a wide lens (most of the time). These people inspire me.

I like the conversions, but in the first shot, his hand and bottom of his shoulder are in focus, but you missed the face. The composition is very nice though, just slightly out of focus.

Hands can be just as telling as a face.

Thanks, both, for your input. :) I'm learning to accept some things, like the first shot where the face is slightly out of focus. I probably will not exhibit this photo for that reason, but I think it's a strong photographic accomplishment nonetheless. Capturing candids while a person is aware of you and your camera is a challenge (or learning to focus and shoot without raising the camera to your eye), but I'm getting there. ;)
