I'm just curious if anyone knows if the following set ups would fit in a 5MDH. I don't think I want to go up to a 6MDH though.

1. 5D2 + 35L + 135L (from what I've read, this seems doable)
2. 5D2 + 24-70 2.8 + 70-200 2.8 II (this i haven't seen)

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Highly doubt it, the 6 MDH I use to have would be tight with the first setup as is if you added a few accessories. I can't imagine either would fit well in the 5 MDH.

The 5mdh is big but doesn't fit much. Too much padding.

I have the 6 and either would fit. The 70-200mkII fits well but the 5 might not be tall enough.

I would get the 6. The 5 isn't going to be big enough, imo.

Bohdan - I may be, and probably am, completely wrong.

Option 1 will work.

Option 2 will not work. In my 5MDH, I can fit 5D2 with mounted 24-70 and then a smaller lens or flash. 70-200 barely fits into the bag with all the inserts removed. This leaves no room for a body.

The 6MDH will also include a padded shoulder strap, not the greatest, but it helps.

#1 should fit just fine. #2 should be just OK if you leave the the hoods out. With hoods, even reverse, it will be a very tight fit

I have the 7mdh. I can fit the lenses i have but no hoods and its tight. If my 70-200 is attached I can close the bag buy it's tight and the straps are at the end. Hope that helps

Thanks for the feedback everyone. Looks like I might have to give the 6MDH a go.

Get the 7MDH. I can fit 7D 17-55 mounted, 70-200 2.8 IS II, Sigma 30mm, Tokina 11-16, 2X extender. It is better to have room to upgrade. I can switch out 2X for flash if needed.
