I made these adjustable L-brackets so I can use it with all the lenses using their zip-tie focus gear.

wouldn't some different sized blocks with holes drilled up them be smaller/simpler/etc?

I figured it takes more time to swap out the blocks than adjusting 1 screw on these brackets

True, it just looks like one more thing for fingers to get caught on in that area. Swapping blocks in the field wouldn't be convenient.

Good thinking, I like it. Just needs to be black anodized or powder coated and nobody would ever know that was DIY.

it's very tight and does not pivot, but i'm searching for this carriage bolt like this which goes into the slot and when tightened it stays tight

I was going to say, you could use two bolts, that'd prevent it from pivoting.

Homedepot does not have it. I havent checked Lowes or one other hardware store. The slot fits #10-24. I actually found the bolt online for $0.35 but shipping is $8.
