Selling my 24-70 for a tamron

I downgraded from a Canon 24-70L to the Tamron 28-75. It was the worst lens change up I have ever made. I did it to save some money but have been totally dissatisfied with the Tamron. I must have had a GREAT copy of the 24-70 or a not so good copy of the 28-75 because the IQ is not even comparable. The 28-75 has left the bag one time in over a year and I just make due with my 16-35 / 50mm combo. I'm hoping the MKII version of the 24-70L is announced soon so I can pick up a MK1 copy for a good price

I'm interested to hear the OP's opinion after trying out the 28-75!!!

From the numerous positive opinions of the Tamron, including mine, I have to assume yours had a problem. Did you send it in to Tamron ?

I have not sent it in but I need to do so before selling it.

Finally put my canon up for sale. Thanks everyone for all the important feedback

Good luck with it. The Tamron is not bad. I keep considering selling my brick too even though it's such a great lens because its just such a massive lens. I may go back to f4 zooms.

Thanks, yes I had to so I can get my sigma 85 1.4 later in the future.

I picked up the tamron 28-75 lens a couple weeks ago, awesome lens. I than picked up the 70-300 f/4 and lovin that one too. I'm not afraid to buy Tamron.
