Just some random (and I mean random...LOL!) thoughts...

It looks more like a personal website than a "business" site. Not a big fan of the logo. It looks too amateur-ish to me (sorry). I'm a photographer, and I don't care what camera/software you use and I'm sure your potential clients don't care either. I would ditch the equipment and focus more about you and what YOU are going to do for the customer.

If you aren't ready to sell prints, remove the link from your site.

I'm not a portrait photographer, but I didn't see anything that said "portrait" to me. Those looked more like snapshots then posed shots.

A few thoughts...

1. Overall the website seems kinda slow when loading different pages. Loading pics take a few seconds a well.
2. Don't understand why you have a "buy print" link then a "shopping cart" link.
3. No need to talk about what kind of gear you have and focus more on you.

Hi Chris,
From this:

This site is where I display my best photography and my admiration for the city of Birmingham, AL. As a photographer, my main passion is shooting automotive, portrait, and sports photography. Taking pictures at races, with friends, and while on vacation caused me to develop a slight obsession with capturing life’s best moments!

I get the impression this isn't a business website. Is that right? More a personal passion :)

I'm not a fan of those flash-type main pages. They take time to load and don't give me anything. If I wasn't checking your site because you asked, I'd have clicked away before the main page loaded.
I'd prefer the "About" page as the main page. It immediately gives me a sense of what the site is about. From that I know where you are and what you're about. If I was interested in that, I'd then continue looking.

I agree with the above. I get a very "passionate amateur" vibe from your site.
Ditch the gear section and shape the rest of the site toward selling yourself to the customer if this is supposed to be a business site.
