That's the quesiton, what's the fastest card a 1D MK II can benefit from?

Some cameras, some lenses, plenty of gaffer's tape and beer.

this page might be useful: http://www.robgalbraith.com …ti_page.asp?cid=6007-6896 (external link)

seems to me the Sandisk Extreme IV came out on top at the time (2006), but hard to say wether cards that are faster again would have their speed utilised...

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

It's the body's buffer what "bottlenecks" the transfer data so a faster-than-say,8 or 9 MB/s CF makes no sense here.Same, the body's wake-up time.
A faster CF only shines if you're time-pressed when transferring files to computer. Also, please note that most tests show a somewhat slower speed for the bigger cards of the same type (a 16GB is slower than a 2GB or 4 GB).

I use a SanDisk Extreme III(30MB/s=200x) 32GB in my 1D II. I still get "busy" if i shoot a few frames in a row". As for transferring to computer, most card readers are USB 2.0, and as such.. are limited to around 32MB/s.. i average ~28MB/s(31/32MB/s peak..at the start) on a large download.
