They are always back ordered.
Where is the best place to get one? I figure if I order now I may have an actual setup by the end of summer.
Suggestions?

I have been calling Adorama, B&H, Allen's in PA, Unique Photo in NJ and 2Filter.com weekly for two months.

I feel your pain. If you find someone who has stock, please please please post it here.

Finding them in stock will be a hit and a miss. Why not just put your name on the waiting list while you're looking? If you did that two months ago you probably would have had it by now. Most reputable places won't charge your credit card until the item actually ships, so there's no risk in putting in an order. If you do manage to fine one in stock while you're on a wait list, then simply cancel the pre-order.

Another place that carries them is Kenmore Camera out of Seattle.

I had my name on 2filter's list forever for some Lee stuff. I just went to Lee's website and called every distributor and put my whole collection together in 1 day. I'm not a wait-list kinda guy :)

I ordered mine from B&H and got it 2 days later. FIlters came from 2filter.com but they had the holder in stock. I order 4 or 5 filters and received all but two of them - the other two should ship anytime now.

You have to catch it right or be on a waiting list - I would suggest #2.

Did B&H have some kind of idea or did it say "we don't know" on their site like it does now?

They don't show up in stock because by the time any vendor gets some in, they have to fill back orders and then they're out again.

You're better off putting in an order somewhere.

Adorama received a delivery around a month ago; if you'd placed a back-order 2 months ago (which wouldn't have been charged until the order shipped), you might have been in line to receive one from the last batch!

If you wait until we have received the next delivery, the likelihood is that every unit will be pre-allocated to customers who placed orders already.....
