Some of the cards even have rebates to boot.

Those are all very expensive Graphics cards, but I guess if you were already shopping for one in that segment, you might as well grab the EVGA card.

They seem like they specifically are for gaming. Would any be appropriate for Photoshop and HD video editing, or are they overkill for that purpose?

These are all hardcore gamer cards, but they would drive 1080p video playback very smoothly and can help windows Vista and 7 response. IN general, for non-gaming purposes, you wouldn't need more than about a $40-50 card. But, If you were planning on buying PSE9 anyway, getting the GTS450 for only $50 extra is quite a deal. Make sure to check the power supply requirements, though. These higher end cards often need 400-500W PSU and their own power connector.

This would be about the cheapest way to take advantage of the deal: http://www.newegg.com …50-_-14-130-573-_-Product (external link)

$129 - $20 rebate = $109 shipped

I paid $204.99 each for 2x 8800GTS 512MB cards a few years back and here you can get a faster and more power efficient 460GTX 1GB for under $200 which i'd say is a great deal.

Yeah, I agree, just meant it wasn't really worth jumping on only for the software.
