A Farmers' Morning: Documentary

A couple of weeks ago I got up early to document a morning at a farm in Belgium. These farmers have held cows for decades, but anticipating their retirement, they will let them go the following summer and focus on growing crops for the next few years.

Every morning of every day of every week of every year of every decade, they get up to milk the cows in the morning and they have to be back home in the evening to milk them again. Even considering the challenging physical labor, this is what makes me respect farmers the most: how inescapable their job is.

Some more pictures can be seen on my blog (external link).

Nice story! And nice pictures to go along with it!
#2 is my fav!!!

#2 lacks substance towards the story I think. I don't know what he's doing in there...driving me crazy! :)
#6 does too, unless i'm missing something. Nice picture though!
#7 is a little blurry. But would be awesome for the story if sharp!

Nice job!

Thanks for the comments! The pictures are just a selection and make much more sense when seen in series. You are right that it is confusing to look at them and see what is going on. There is a lot of context lacking. Let me fill you in:

In #2 he just cleaned out the milking area and moves to the stables where the cows are waiting for him.
In #6 he finished cleaning the stables and moves to the milking area again, where the cows just stopped giving milk to the machine. There are a lot of pictures lacking inbetween these two. These missing links are present in the original set, though.

Is #7 blurry?

In my original post it should have read:

Should make a web page with a story...like a book sort of...very interesting.

for some reason I like #1, I keep looking at it. It's dark, but it's at night, so it's suppose to be dark. Storyline is good. I like #1.
