I had a portrait session yesterday, I used the Euro as I've found it so easy to work with, just move it around more to the side for more light fall off, it's the first light that I've found I can use with people who are older and yet get some pop in the image and then with software gentle the wrinkles. It's an easy peasy light to work with and the first I grab for tabletop shooting as well.

So then I get up this morning to make coffee and there it is, still on it's stand in my livingroom because I've nowhere to store it. I live in an apartment and that's where I've been using it. And then I told myself that there is no way I can keep the Euro and buy a Setti, even though I can store a Setti in my storage closet, it's just enough smaller.

I've been asking a lot about the white Setti lately, so I will one more time. I am heading in the direction of mostly portraits of older women, I'mmable to do the softening of the skin and wrinkles in PP and they love it. To be honest, I don't really like using a softbox even with them, it's a somewhere kind of in-between thing but I'll grab the Euro before the Octabank. I want to keep the features of the face and still have a light which is 't harsh. I have tried the DO 39" often and just don't like it on older faces.

I think the Molas are kind of magic, just a little different but in a subtle way that excites me. I don't shoot glamour or young people and part of my work is with people who are seriously afraid to have their picture taken but need one for their website for business and social network. Most of these people are convinced that they aren't photogenic. I get the work because they see the results of the work I have done with their friends, some have showed up almost nervous to the point of distraction.

So facing this and loving to work with people, I have everything set up simple and if changes have to be made with the lighting, they have to be easy and quick, the Molas make this easy.

So with all of this information, and include the idea that I want to do this more at their homes than in my apartment so the lights have to travel, should I try to sell my Mola locally on Craigslist and get the white Setti? I could sell it without the Eli speedring and with the PAD center. This is tough it's basically new.
