Hello all. This is my first post to this forum.

Here is a deer that came close today. I liked how it looked in relation to the green pines background.

Camera used is a new Rebel T3i that I am trying to learn. Lens is a 300mm L f4 lens that I've had before.

As noted, I am trying to learn so comments / criticism are welcome.

Hi, Welcome to the forum. Not a bad shot. Fun to get close and this time of year it is pretty easy around here. It does appear that the deer was quite close and with the f4 your depth of field was quite thin naturally. The neck seems to be a bit oof. IF that was your goal, then there is no problem. Where are you at in "northern mi"?
