Hello everyone, first time putting some of my pictures up on here. Just wanted to get some feedback about them, what you like and don't ect...

These were from a small carnival that was held at my college last week and they had a bunch of animals to hold, so I tried to get some nice shots of them.

You slightly mised the mark on these. The first is a bit underexposed, with the darker subject and lighter background a bit of exposure compensation is needed to bring out the chick. On the second two the chick is not in focus. When shooting close ups or macro getting the focus on your subject is pretty important and takes some concentration to do, often times a kit type lens won't focus well so you need to override it manually.

Great, thanks for the reply and criticism. I was using the kit lens (18-55). The hardest part about making sure the chick was in focus and not the hands was the fact that you need to be quick because the perfect moment comes and goes like that. I should have maybe set the auto focus to the center and left it there?
