So in order to attract more pollinators and other good bugs around the yard I have been trying to select the proper plants to put around the yard to give me some nice colors and so on. I'm actually trying to make a nice colorful area of the yard to photograph in. I'm also working on getting a lattice type fencing that I can put up and get a good vine to grow on that flowers so that I can make a nice peaceful and cool area. Something that need lots of upkeep but will still make for some nice looking plants in general.

My family thinks I'm a little nuts but whatever....

This is the first of about 20+ little starter pots that have come up:

This is a Lupine (lupin) plant, not sure what color the flowers will be but I want a nice mix throughout the whole thing.

I was messing with color saturation, I might have gone overboard but you be the judge, lol.

Discuss as you like.

Also I looked up how tall this plant is supposed to grow and it's supposedly can reach 36" without issue.... That's a lot of coverage, I'm planting more tomorrow to see if I can get about 15 of them to come up and use them as kind of a wall below the lattice that I'm going to be putting in. I need to get working on this as these little buggers might start to grow pretty fast, lol.

Hello!
Just wanted to say that Lupines are a beautiful plant with lovely feathery leaves and I'm sure you will be most pleased with them. I had forgotten to put them on my list, so thanks for the reminder.

A garden will bring you much Joy! but leave a little room for heartache too. Things happen. Like gophers popping up in the middle of the night to completely wipe out your entire garden! or maybe bugs? In the long run it is most rewarding in many ways and I wish you much happiness in your new garden.
Your picture looks great to me, amazing what that little seed grows into. :))
Good day to you-
ajane

^^ Thanks and yeah, I've had a few gardens in the past but now that I have some extra time here and there on my hands and I also want to create a nice area for photos as well I decided to start one up once again.

It's mostly in devotion of my photography habit and the fact that I want to create something to give me a wider range of possibilities. I've been working on clearing an area that I can setup some pots in and I'm leveling off the a section of the back yard by adding a lot of dirt as well. Right now all the plants are in small pots to get started without any interference from bugs or birds eating the seeds.

I have several other plants that are starting to sprout as well. I will probably take some photos of them tomorrow. I planted another 20 plants again yesterday so I could have a nice base amount to start things off with. I'll be able to leave them in the small pots for the next few weeks while I finish up the back yard. I need to go pick up some materials from home depot after my friend brings me a load of dirt here in a couple days. I'm mostly working with plants that like full sun and I'm setting it up so that I can get some nice heavy sun on them thorough the day and into the evening.

I'm planning on having a 3 sided area with some lattice separating the whole thing though I may only do is at a 2 sided setup, I'm still debating on how I want to do it.

wow, I didn't know that foxglove is a very poisonous plant and can cause death if you manage to ingest some of it after it makes you vomit like a mofo...
