2011 Boston Marathon pictures

I was only there to try to get shots of a friend that was running the race, and I thought I would get some practice in. I am in no way a pro, and I reduced the picture size a bit to post it on Flickr ( I haven't been able to post pics here right for some reason, sorry...)

These were taken in Natick, Massachusetts, at or around Mile 10.

Please cirtique, and also let me know if you like.

I shot them with a 50D, in Shutter Priority, using a Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 lens. I am learning as I go here, so please let me know how to get better.

ps. I was able to only do 2 pictures, so these will have to do for now... and the guy with the thong, that's all he was wearing, and he was running in BARE FEET!!! God bless him..

To see the Boston Marathon is now on my bucket list.

I'm surprised that the fireman's foot doesn't fall off, seeing how charred to a crisp it is.

I never noticed his foot, until a friend of mine pointed it out earlier today. Guess you don't really notice when taking the picture. I just thought it was interesting that he was wearing the fire suit...

Also, the king of the jungle - long, black flowing head of hair, grizzly masculine beard, hairy legs ... but his chest (and arm pit) is clean as a whistle!
