Here are some of the shots I've taken since I got my XS. Most of these were taken 2 weeks ago at the Super Chevy Show at PBIR. Let me know what you think and how I can improve. I'm still very new to DSLRs and I know I have A LOT to learn.

Apr 22, 2011 11:00 | #7 Thanks, it is pretty cool how they have it set up. If you look in the 4th picture, you can see the orange cone on the wall that is indicating the 1/8th mile mark. That's where I took the shots from. At that point, they take the fence, which is probably 30-40 ft from the wall, straight up to the wall, and then run it against the wall for the second half of the track. Wayne

That was BY FAR the closest I've ever been to any jet cars while they were making a pass and it was awesome. They shook my body when they went by and then I felt a big heat wave right after it. Looking back, it probably wasn't the smartest thing I've ever done, but it did make for some cool shots. ![]() Jets are nothing, wait till get to shoot fuel cars, they make a jet sound quiet. I can't tell you how many times I've been to the Gatornationals in my life, so I've definitely been around my fair share of fuelers. I'm sure it's a TOTALLY different ball game when you're on the wall with them though!! Maybe in a few more years I'll be cool enough to join you there. Wayne
