I got to take pictures of this little girl when she was a newborn and was asked to do her 3 month pictures over the weekend. I still feel like I am clueless at times since I'm learning and figuring things out as I go! The mom provided all the clothing /accessories so I was trying to work around what she wanted.

C&C is welcome and appreciated...I've learned a lot from you all. I know that I need to work on some pull back shots where they aren't just close-ups, but I never seem to get the best shot that way yet. (I am also trying to put a watermark of some sort on the pictures since I've been posting them online and reading everyone's warnings to do so)

1. I know her front hand gets lost in the rug, but it was still one of my favorites

3. She had the biggest blue eyes, but seemed to like to stare and drool instead of smile for me!

5. Here we finally got smiles! She wanted to do these for her stepdad that is in the hospital trying to beat cancer right now.

wow! how do you get her skin to look so soft? is it just your camera or are you using a specific trick in photoshop? Those look so crisp, and she's totally adorable!!!

Thank you! I've been working so hard on getting sharp crisp pictures! I just got a new lens (the 17-55 2.8) that I tried out plus the light from the window was really nice. It was actually a semi-rainy day, so not having glaring sunlight actually made for better pictures. Her skin was pretty smooth SOOC so aside from some curve adjustments, lightening the midtone levels, and selectively reducing the red in her skin in Photoshop, there was no real trickery involved. I wish I had an easier answer for you. I think I lucked out with this photo shoot that it all came together pretty good!
