And for anyone who cares, I came up with a starter solution that will run me only $200-250. I spent a lot of time chatting with a friend/mentor of mine on lighting. She's been in the business for years and came up with a great starter kit for me and is going to help me learn the ropes.

-2x Yonguo Speedlight (still debating between the 460II, 560, and 468, which one is truly the best bang for your buck)

-Yonguo RF-602 w/extra receivers

-Westcott 43-Inch Umbrella/Stand Kit

Rounded out with the umbrella, stand, and Speedlights I already have.

It's very basic, but I'm told it'll work!

YN560 is very very good. It is a manual flash though. It won't do ETTL. I assume that since you are planning to use it with RF-602, you are thinking manual control.

MPEX has a Westcott kit on sale

I'm actually thinking of the Cactus V5s now. I did more research and while the RF-602s seem amazing, the Cactus V5s seem like a slight enough improvement that I'm leaning in that direction. But I'd still be using the flashes in manual. I considered the YN-468, but I actually use my flash mostly in manual mode as it is so I think budget wise it's the best buy.

Thank you for that link! It's $15 cheaper then it is on Amazon! Now I can afford 2x 560s if I want. :)

I just put in my order! 2x YN-560s, the Westcott Umbrella and light stand kit from Midwest. Along with an Eneloop battery kit. I'll get the Cactus V5s a little later. But, yeah. Hopefully by early next week I'll be getting some practice in! I'll let you know how it goes.
