Could some of you post examples of photos posted with a ring flash? I have the opportunity to buy one at a good price, and would just like to see various examples so I know what I might expect.
Thanks!

Wilt Reader's Digest Condensed version of War and Peace [POTN Vol 1] More info | May 08, 2011 13:37 | #7 Gotta ask folks to post the outer diameters of these ring flashes in use in these examples (and/or post the brand and model of ring flash)...the ring flashes which are used professionally might be 20" in diameter, for example. Many of the examples are not exhibiting the characteristic 'shadow all around' the subject which is often quite distinctive of ring light shots, or the catchlights in the eyes are quite small (with no 'donut' of no-light in the center), so I wonder about the sizes of the ring lights (some really are not much larger than macro ring lights, which are a different beast than the larger diameter ring lights) You need to give me OK to edit your image and repost! Wilt Reader's Digest Condensed version of War and Peace [POTN Vol 1] More info | May 09, 2011 00:26 | #12 Nice work in the DIY ring flash, Dave. I found your prior posting on this. Unfortunately there is not a single Bundt pan size, so we still have to guess about size, but the photo in https://photography-on-the.net …hp?p=11453988&postcount=8 seems to show outer diameter is only a few inches larger than the camera body, so still a fairly small source. What was the actual light source used with the Bundt pan reflector? You need to give me OK to edit your image and repost!
