Folks, The Wife and I are packing up the family and road tripping to the north rim of the Grand Canyon the first week of June. We'll spend several days there before moving on to other destinations, but I hope to get some star trails and sky shots if the weather cooperates. Sadly, there's no room to take along my scope or a tracking mount, so these will be fixed, tripod shots. On the bright side, I will have The Wife's 5DII and 50D available for use.
So, with those limitations in mind, does anyone have any recommendations/suggestions for shooting locations (can't miss foreground formations) or other tips? Thanks in advance!
