I think you should start to accept that model photography is all about your model and nut the surroundings. Focus on your model not the inanimate objects around.

I really like the lines on the first one. I like the artistic different angles and views and different things in focus. I do similar sorts of shots. They don't get printed by my clients but they like having them in Albums if they buy them.

The 3rd picture would be cooler if there wasn't a blade of grass cutting across the subject.

^ i kno what you mean. the grass was huge and i'm semi-allergic to pollen/grass so getting all the way down to the ground wasn't a real good idea. but i got a little decent shot for not even trying :)

i'll upload more in a few. :)

and i like taking artistic different angle type pics too. something different. everyone has different taste you know.. i'm just a beginner still but i hope to be good one day :)

I would like to see the model take up more space in the photos. For #1, you could crop the picture to make her stand out more. Maybe tip the angle a little so that the grass is still visible, and try to blur out the background (and foreground) more. Using a wider aperture can be of great help to do this. Also: #2 might seem artsy and creative, but it really ought to be the girl who is in focus, not the wooden bench. Perhaps use a narrower aperture for this instead, and switch main focus to the girl.
PhilF is right: The surroundings take away all the attention, and they really shouldn't. That flickr set needs some closeups. ;)

I would suggest you look at the scenery first and try to see where you want the model in the scene and from what angle you are going to be shooting from and kinda how you want her to be posed. Basically invision the photo before you take the shot and if its not exactly like you want then change it up.

As people have already stated the model needs to be the focus of the photo. The DoF look that you did in number 2 and 3 doesnt really seem to work but I think I see what you were going for in number 3. Keep shooting and post the others when you get a chance

I think the skin color is too saturated.

First one is very nice but I would try for a much shallower depth of field to really bring the attention to your model.

were you using on camera flash at all? idk some seem underexposed, some have harsh light... could be my monitor. But when you said you didnt get down on the ground and you got a good pic without trying that isnt good, every click should mean something, and every click should have a reason or goal behind it. dont just fire away 500 pix bc you can. think about the shot....

looks like you have drive and an ambition to get good so keep at it!

I really like the shot of her looking away !
