Sigma 30mm F1.4 EX DC UV Filter

I can't seem to find a uv filter for my Sigma lens. Can somebody help me find one?

It will tell you down there under filter size:

"Filter Size: 62"

So....

It also tells you around the barrel of the lens near the serial number. Another way of checking is looking on the inside of the lens cap.

It's a 62mm filter thread.

Fair enough. I just wasn't sure since I'm new to photography and I noticed "62mm," whereas my lens is a 30mm.

Basicly you get what you pay for with filters. Don't be tempted to put a cheap piece of glass in front of a good lens.

Of course some say not to use a filter but to just use a hood for protection instead... [runs and hides...]

What's your take on adding a hood as well with the uv filter attached?

Always use a hood with or without the filter.
