Today I received my elinchrom dlite 4 from B&H with a broken handle out of the box, Its minor damage, I don't want to have to return it. Do they provide partial compensation for stuff like this? Who do I contact?

That's a total bummer. They'll gladly exchange it for you. Not trying to state the obvious, but if you're wondering who to contact, it's quite simple: B&H Customer Service when they re-open on April 27th.

That is just more money out of my pocket (Driving back down to the USA, buying packaging & postage) I'd rather receive some money back and glue it back together.

B&H now covers return shipping via UPS. I had filled out a RMA form online and in one hour I had my verification email and a PDF document to print for a paid shipping label. Just drop it off at UPS and in 7 days you'll have a new one... Again, once they're open again on the 27th. Good luck.

That's too bad. Sometimes it happens. Deal with B&H CSR first. Then deal with the manufacturer as a second option if you can't resolve it with B&H.

I mean this looks like 100% b&h's fault, if you call them they might pay for shipping both ways.

I received a damaged Pixma printer from them about three years ago. They had UPS pick it up at my residence and they paid for the return shipping. AFAIK they won't do partial refunds for damage.

I had a similar situation with my tripod. Missing parts... not damage. B&H CSR immediately referred me to deal with the manufacturer. They didn't offer to take it back for exchange or anything. I could have chosen or insisted to do so, but decided not to deal with having to ship. I contacted the manufacturer and after some back and forth email got my parts shipped to me. Happy camper in the end.

So try B&H CSR first. If that doesn't work, then the manufacturer may be able to help.
