Is that right or is there something fishy going on here... I see some side by side and one is made in Japan and the other is made in China.. The only thing that im guessing is they moved manufacturing over there to still have their head in the game... Flickr

Just not with a US warranty (which would be the case no matter where Canon had it manufactured). I doubt that there are any counterfeits of actual Canon camera models; the counterfeits I've heard of have not claimed to be any of the announced line-up, just some other camera with a different feature set, only sporting a Canon logo.
