This is a photo of the Wallace Monument taken from just below Stirling Castle. With the rolling Ochil hill as the back drop.:)
This was shot hand held on not to great a day. the monument is about 3-4 miles away.

Wow--like it a lot! It really pops against the black background. If it were mine, I'd clone out the van and people.

Loved the Wallace Monument but climbing to the top is a workout! Can't beat the view, though. Great shot. It was too foggy when I was there to see it from Sterling Castle.

Hi thanks for the replies I have cloned out the van and the people.

The monument is quite a sight perched up on the hill. I lived in the shadow
of the monument in one of the small towns at the foot of the Ochil hills.

The climb to the top of the spiral stairs is not for the faint hearted.
But once at the top it is well worth the climb the views are breathtaking;)
