We just got stationed here and its BEAUTIFUL!

Two shots (laptop edited) that I thought showed how beautiful it is :) I have to say I am so excited to be here, after living in VA beach area in the city and by the beach, this is a welcome change!

I have tried sauerkraut and not a fan, but liver dumplings...not bad at all :D

I especially like the second one. I spent two years at Ramstein and loved Germany.

nice shots... I grew up in the country in the U.S. and I am partial to those type of shots... also spent a great deal of time in Frankfurt last year and got a few occasions to get out into the country side for a few outings... thanks for your service and good luck...

I know, right? I'm just sayin'...

#2 is wonderful.

2 years in Wiesbaden 1956 to 1960 when I was very young. I still remember Germany and Europe, it was still messed up after only 15 years after the war.

Very nice shots indeed. Next time I'm travelling to Germany, I'm hitting the countryside, they have some spectacular landscapes there.

I am from VAB and was stationed in Pirmasens (long time ago, base is now closed). Germany is a real blast, the people are friendly and the beer is..... Fantastic. Photo ops abound around every turn and the real beauty of the country is way in which the country folk care for the land. Two real quick hints, learn to speak the language as best you can, and don;t st inside any more than you have too, it goes by quickly.
