Friend has an S5. It has had some issues with a few functions. Like the Color Accent I think.

This is about pic quality.

Here is a link to the pic.

He wanted me to touch it up and straighten the horizon for him. I'm noticing a lot of noise. But, then he said it was shot at ISO-100. He also sharpened the photo himself in Zoombrowser. He said up to 85/100. I still thought the noise was quite excessive.

Am I right or is this to be expected even at ISO100 with sharpening in PP???

I went into Zoombrowser on my computer and sharpened a pic from my S95 and one from my old A80 and I still saw nowhere near the amount of noise his pics have.

Noise doesn't look too bad for that camera, although it'll always be more obvious in extensive monotone areas. And oversharpening also oversharpens the noise, making it still more obvious.

My S5 likes light. Lots of light. Overcast days aren't good for it.

That image seems to show an overcast, dark day, likely with a lot of mist in the air too (from the waterfall).
