My first attempt at shooting HDR -
shot with 2 stop increments on the 7D
any suggestions on what I could do to make it better?

What a great use for old pallets! From an HDR perspective, you need more range. From the edge of the sky down it looks very natural. The sky's pretty messed up. Looking at where your meter would have been measuring light, it's not taking into account the sky at all. Try processing it again for just the sky and then mask in that layer. Or, do the same thing with your -2 EV.

I agree with Jon, the sky needs work... Create a perfect sky and patch it in, then play with levels to disguise the false sky. Also, would LOVE to see this with a nice sunset sky and a red burnt haze. :D
