Does anyone have any experience with it?
I'm looking to buy one rather than a Blackrapid DR1/DR2.
It's priced very nicely, but i havent heard of anyone use it before.
I hope you use one of these under a jacket or blazer.

Also, is the pad rubberized on the bottom? I have an optech super classic, n i don't really like rubbery grip on the bottom.

Any insights are appreciated

I have that strap. It's nice, but I found the swinging cameras a little annoying. I think I must have 8-9 different straps including the Black Rapid. If you are wanting to carry 2 cameras at a time, I recommend a regular neckstrap and a BR. I shoot with 2 cameras at a time, so I like the 2 strap choice. Sometimes I mix and match depending on the weight of the set-ups.

I have one but use the regular Optech as my normal camera strap. I like it, the design is nice to quickly convert from sling to normal strap as needed. The curved cushioned strap is nice as well, I think it's much more reasonable priced than other sling straps.

Nice part is they use the two standard camera strap mounts instead of the tripod mount so you can use the strap with accessories.

I considered this strap but I thought the swinging might bug me, so I went with two optech straps, the utility sling for my large lens (xs with 100-400) and the super classic strap with uni loop (for 5d and 17-40/24-105). I just used this setup this past weekend and it seemed pretty comfortable, and they both have the 3/8 disconnects at the cameras. so I can swap straps quickly.

SWINGING SOLUTION

I love my OPTECH Dual Harness it does a great job in distributing the weight of my two cameras plus lenses across my shoulders rather than around my neck. On the other hand, I disliked the cameras swinging as I walked and especially when I was running or climbing.

A light weight carabiner clip (like the mountain climber clips only the kind designed to support key rings not mountain climbers) attached to either the belt loops at my hips or the side adjustment straps of my photo vest do quite a good job in stabilizing the cameras. I simply slip one onto the straps of each camera. Easy on and easy off if you don't get the kind that incorporate locking mechanisms; yet they work great. Cheap as dirt too!

When I am wearing my photo vest and want to offer my cameras some more protection (either from the elements or from theft); I wear the OPTECH Dual Harness beneath the vest and have the cameras clipped to my trouser belt loops with the carabiner clips.

BTW: I have not yet purchased a RRS L-plate for my 7D. The new RRS L-plate has an interesting addition. Camera straps can be attached so that the camera hangs in the landscape position which is the standard configuration for carrying a camera or, the straps can be attached to one end of the camera so that it hangs in the vertical or portrait position. I "think" (since I have not actually tried this configuration) that I would like the camera hanging on my left hip to be equipped with the longer of the two lenses I am using and to hang in the vertical position. The nice thing about having a choice of a horizontal or vertical carry position is that I don't have to make a choice before purchasing the L-plate. If I don't like the vertical style of carry, I can revert back to the "normal" way.

Suzy,
Do you have the double sling or the double harness?
The sling is relatively new, and its more like a BR strap.
Also, is it rubberized on the bottom? I cant stand it when there's a ton of rubber.
That's why i love my domke grippers.

I have the dual harness and i never use it, to much of a hassle, cameras bumping left and right. The dual sling looks better, still alot of camera movement. Im considering the spiderholster at this point.

thanks suzy. the swinging doesn't bother me so much since that how it is with my domkes. i would imagine that the BR double straps also swing around alot.
