Hey all - here's the latest.

Weather finally started to warm up a bit as you can see, everyone isn't all bundled up wearing winter coats! As much as I prefer the winter type fashions, it was nice to not be freezing outside shooting :)

For those not familiar witht he project, please check back on the previous 12 threads for any questions you may have regarding my approach and the like.

All shot with the 5dmkii + 135L. Hope you enjoy:

Pretty much. You are KILLING this project Matt. Seriously good. Love the dapper little guy and the lovely lady (no. 69), but you've really gotten what feels like "them" in the photograph, candid but descriptive. I come away from it feeling like I know them a bit, which is an extraordinarily powerful thing to feel. I think the separation the 135 gives you, the photos don't really have anything other than the stranger in them, nothing to distract you really. The other bit is your skill and how you seem to have gotten these people to open up to you in such a way.
A great project, and you're having cracking success at it. Keep it up man. :)

thanks guys - i'm glad your enjoying the project :)

and yes, you've pretty much nailed it - i try to make that 'connection' come through in each photo.

i want the "strangers" to not feel so "strange", if that makes any sense... i try to keep this as much as an 'anti-snapshot' project as possible. - i'm glad you've noticed my attempt

Thanks very much :) - in short, I'm just as kind/aopproachable as possible and explain my project, and politely ask them if they would let me take their shot

You really should consider making a book with these pictures. They are extremely interesting.

On average, how many photos do you take for each session? Do you stay in the same location? I would imagine some of these strangers "know" you by now? Excellent series.
