With my 100 mm Macro lens F 2.8 L, I would like to add extension tube/s to get greater magnification. Does it make sense ? I came across extension tubes made in China by Phottix. Anybody knows this product? I should be able to retain all the Automatic functions they claimed. Need some tips and advice. Thank you

Kenko is the most popular. You get a three tube set for about $140 that will work well.

Any extension tube will work (there is no glass to degrade IQ). Some will support AF and some will not, so check to make sure what you are getting. I have a cheaper third party brand and they work well.

I've used Kenko tubes on my 100L many times to increase the magnification..
LOL! 2 triple sets gets the L up to the MPe-65's levels.

Have you produced good results with two triples? Any disadvantages?
Care to share any?
