I am normally pretty good at solving my own problems but this one has got me stumped. What I am about to explain was working at one time and then my system froze and had to shut down with both Illustrator and Photoshop open. Since then it has ceased to work.
I have been creating text in Illustrator (sometimes graphics) and then I create outlines to make the path. I copy that from Illustrator to Photoshop and there is normally a popup that asks what you want to copy it as, path, smart object, etc. I would normally select paths. I have dumped my clipboard, made a new copy in Illustrator and when I go to Photoshop the paste option is not available. In the Illustrator preferences file there is an option on how the clipboard manages data. This is my setting.
I have deleted my preference files in both applications and rebuilt them, emptied my cache and rebooted innumerable times. I just can't get this and at this point am thinking that reinstalling may be my only option but I am traveling and don't have the disks with me.
So if there are some Illustrator experts out there (I know there are) would you care to take a stab at what the issue could be. I have posted on another forum with no luck from them so thought I would try this one.
Thanks
