Looks to like you were dealing with some pretty harsh light. In the family shot, you really have to be careful when you have those conditions and you are relying on the shade provided by trees to help you out. You've got some very dappled light on the family, causing light and shadow all over their faces inconsistently.
Shooting a 2 year old in motion in that kind of light is very difficult as you know. If you turn them with their backs to sun, and then try and fill flash the front of the subject (which is what you need to do), they will turn and run the other way. We suffer for our craft, don't we? ; ) You DID turn her back to the sun in the last shot, but it doesn't appear that you used fill flash or a reflector to kick back some light into her face. That particular shot would have been better cropped to head and upper body, as the background is extraneous and doesn't add anything.
I like the sweet father daughter moment in number 4, and the composition there. I like that you have left space to have him looking into, but you could crop out a bit of that negative space to the left and still keep the most of the scenery. Ditto with dad and baby and all that blue sky. You could ditch a lot of the blue sky and still keep the interesting composition.
I like the first shot the best. Nice background blur and cute expression, relatively even light on her face. She is a beautiful little girl!
On a personal note, I loved the photo on your website of the bride and groom in front of the Halifax Citadel. I'm from Nova Scotia and used to work at the citadel. When we moved to California, we had owned a painting company at the time, and our last volunteer act was having our crews paint the town clock, so it was nice to see it on your site. You do nice wedding work, and I think I saw some of the engagement shots on the waterfront? Your Peggy's Cove stuff was beautiful as well. Makes me homesick, but I'll be there in a few weeks!
